Dear readers of our FFC blog,
Let me get a little personal. It’s the holidays after all!
I need to admit this year has been one of the hardest years of my life. My family was dealt a huge blow that has changed our dynamics forever and our family restaurant was shut down (and continues to struggle in the take-out only business).
But, something amazing happened this year. I’ve always struggled with the cliche’d “trying to find my path in life”. During school, I had switched from major to major, hoping something would click, and afterwards graduating, switched from internship from internship hoping for the same. But this year, I realized how to set my own goals (no matter how mini they may be) and to the lead in my own life. Through many experimental experiences, I eventually discovered my path may have been right in front of me all along.
As hard as it is to admit, if COVID hadn’t completely disrupted my life, I’m not sure if I would ever have discovered this new passion of mine. As I reflect back upon this year, all the crazy, tumultuous up & downs led me straight towards it. I’m excited for the start of the new year, so I can continue embarking upon this hard-won path.
I wish you a happy New Year and good health!
Suzi
