  • Nature is Our Best Remedy

Looking at my calendar is, truthfully, the only way I’ve been able to comprehend that this year is ending. More of our time has been spent indoors and glued to screens than ever in our lives, which makes it hard to realize how much our lives have changed holistically and how much of a toll it is on our bodies.

Thankfully, there is a widely accessible, reliant method that can cure our quarantined souls: nature! Rather than giving in to our fatigue and curling back up in bed, we need to make the conscious decision to breathe fresh air into our muscles. Talk a walk (with your mask) and disconnect from the internet. Focus on your body and breath as you fuel it with oxygen. Even this small shift in mindset will give you a boost in energy and improve your mood!

If you live in an area where it’s difficult for you to catch fresh air, look into a house plant! They can remove toxins in your air, regulate humidity, and improve your mood. We recommend the Gerbera Daisy or the Spider plant! The University of Washington stated that there is good evidence to prove that time in or with nature can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. So, a little is great. A lot is even better!
